Overview
Podkey is operated by Jolly Code LLC. Podkey provides tools for creating and managing generated podcast feeds. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to people who sign in to Podkey.
Information We Collect
When you sign in, we may receive account information from your authentication provider such as your name and email address. We only request the information needed to create and secure your Podkey account.
We also collect information you provide or create in the service, such as feed configuration, podcast source URLs, artwork, generated episode metadata, generated scripts and audio, and account or workspace settings.
We collect technical information such as request logs, product interaction analytics, approximate location inferred from IP address, diagnostics, performance data, and crash reports so we can operate, secure, debug, and improve Podkey.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide the service, authenticate users, secure accounts, operate podcast generation workflows, troubleshoot problems, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and communicate service-related updates.
Generated content is used to provide the podcast feeds and episodes you request, maintain feed history, support playback and RSS delivery, and investigate service quality or abuse reports.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate Podkey.
Current service providers include Clerk for authentication, RevenueCat for subscription and purchase entitlement management, Mixpanel for product analytics, AppsFlyer for privacy-preserving app acquisition and purchase conversion measurement, Sentry for diagnostics and crash reporting, and infrastructure providers for hosting, storage, generated media delivery, logging, and email.
Clerk may use subprocessors to support authentication, account management, and transactional email, including providers that process account information in the United States. Details are available in Clerk’s Trust Center.
We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Podkey, our users, or others.
Tracking
Podkey does not use data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes. Podkey does not use IDFA, third-party ad tracking, cross-app advertising profiles, or precise location analytics.
Release iOS builds may send AppsFlyer a limited set of app acquisition and conversion events. Verified purchase events contain the public App Store product identifier, price, and currency. Podkey does not send AppsFlyer your Podkey account ID, StoreKit transaction ID, email address, feed or episode content, or precise location.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security and operational records.
You can delete your account from Settings in the Podkey app. Account deletion removes your feeds, RSS links, artwork, and generated episodes, scrubs direct profile information such as email and display name, and blocks further account access.
We retain minimal pseudonymous billing, fraud-prevention, support, and audit records when needed for legal, refund, dispute, or operational windows. Apple subscription billing is managed separately through Apple; deleting your Podkey account does not by itself cancel an active Apple subscription.
Service providers may retain limited operational, billing, analytics, or diagnostic records according to their own policies and legal obligations. We use provider deletion and support channels when needed to process privacy requests that involve provider-managed data.
Your Choices
You can manage your Apple subscription through your Apple account settings. You can delete your Podkey account from Settings in the app. You can contact us for privacy questions, access requests, or deletion questions at privacy@podkey.fm.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
